The UVA Club of the Triangle, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization, with a multi-tiered membership plan. Over the years, we have grown in both membership and diversity of Club events. We are currently experiencing our most exciting growth spurt for the Club ever. If leadership involvement interests you, please e-mail us at: contact@trianglehoos.org.
Annual club-sponsored events include a football roast before a UVA game against one of the local ACC schools (with Duke, UNC, and NC State just around the corner, this comes easy!), a summer send-off picnic for graduating high school students matriculating to Charlottesville in the fall, Durham Bulls and Carolina Hurricanes games, wine-tasting events, happy hours, and much more. If you have an idea for an event or would like to participate in planning one, join or contact our Events Committee.
Our Service Committee brings many community service opportunities, too, including working with Communities in Schools, Habitat for Humanity, and the annual Cavaliers Care projects.
Our Club proudly awards an annual Triangle Hoos Scholarship to an incoming first-year from the Triangle area. For detailed information on how to make contributions or apply for the scholarship, please visit our scholarship page.
For a full list of our events and service projects check our events page.
Our Club's effectiveness depends on membership from area alumni. To accommodate each person's need, we offer various options for membership, which provide different privileges. To find information on our membership levels, please visit our Join the Triangle Hoos page.
