Cavaliers Care 2010 NC Museum of Art: Care for the Park Saturday, March 20, 9 a.m. NC Museum of Art, Raleigh Food Bank of North Carolina First week in April Location: TBD Cavaliers Care is a worldwide volunteerism initiative based on one of the core principles of a Jeffersonian society—citizenship. This tie that binds together Virginia alumni, families, and friends serves as the foundation of this program. Each year, the UVA Club of the Triangle celebrates this Jeffersonian principle by holding its Cavaliers Care projects around Jefferson's birthday. This year, we will participate in two projects: NC Museum of Art: Care for the Park: We will help take care of the trails and gardens throughout the museum's park on Saturday, March 20. We will meet in the parking lot closest to Blue Ridge Road by the 'Old Brick' part of the museum. Look for the UVA orange (and wear appropriate footwear). The park will provide all the tools and equipment we need. Food Bank of North Carolina First week in April Location: TBD The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina. We will support this initiative by helping prep and bag foods to be delivered to the needy. We are working with the Food Bank to reserve an evening for club volunteers.
