UVA Club of the Triangle Scholarship

Thank you! With your contributions this past year, we were able to raise our Annual Scholarship to a $1,250 scholarship. This is the third straight year we have increased the scholarship level. As always, we'll be awarding the scholarship at our Annual Student Send-Off Picnic this summer, which will be held Saturday, August 16th at 2 p.m. in Lake Crabtree.

The UVA Club of the Triangle awards an annual scholarship, as administered and maintained by the Education Committee.

The Triangle Hoos provide one scholarship annually to a local student attending UVA as a First Year student in the fall.

To apply, the student must submit the scholarship application form, a resume, and a 500-word essay on the topic provided. A committee rates the entries according to three criteria: creativity, clarity, and use of the English language. Applicants are also judged according to extra-curricular activities, community service, and academic performance.

Applications must be postmarked by July 16th. The winner will be introduced at the Annual Summer Picnic and Student Send-Off on August 16th.
