UVA Club of the Triangle Scholarship

Thank you! With your contributions this past year, we were able to raise our Annual Scholarship to a $1,250 scholarship. As always, we'll be awarding the scholarship at our Annual Student Send-Off Picnic this August.

Join us for the Student Send-off Picnic and Scholarship Presentation on Sunday, August 8th The winner of our annual scholarship will be introduced at the Annual Summer Picnic and Student Send-Off on August 8th at Lake Crabtree Park in Morrisville. Meet the local Triangle students who are taking their first step in becoming Triangle Hoos!. The presentation of the annual scholarship award will be presented after the picnic.

We have the Dogwood Shelter at Lake Crabtree Park all afternoon, and will be cooking out burgers and hot dogs. Drinks and desserts will be provided as well. Feel free to bring a side dish to share!

The UVA Club of the Triangle awards an annual scholarship, as administered and maintained by the Education Committee.

The Triangle Hoos provide one scholarship annually to a local student attending UVA as a First Year student in the fall.

To apply, the student must submit the scholarship application form and a 500-word essay on the topic provided. A committee rates the entries according to three criteria: creativity, clarity, and use of the English language. Applicants are also judged according to extra-curricular activities, community service, and academic performance.
